Adam Forshaw is ready to return for Leeds United this weekend after two months out injured.
The £4 million midfielder’s comeback is ideally timed for Leeds, who have midfielder Mateusz Klich on international duty.
Klich, 28, played 90 minutes against Austria and 62 minutes against Latvia, both wins for Poland.
Leeds hope he returns in peak condition, but Forshaw’s return means Leeds don’t have to push him if he is not.
Leeds fans’ first choice will be Klich and Kalvin Phillips in the middle.
Forshaw is a perfect next option to have. It would not be a surprise to see him start.
He is raring to go, telling the Yorkshire Evening Post last week: “It’s been frustrating I’m not going to lie.
“It’s probably gone on slightly longer than what I would’ve hoped. I’m improving and hopefully I can be ready for the next game.”
Leeds boss Bielsa is reluctant to switch up his XI and Forshaw may have to settle for a place on the bench.
Either way, he will have a big part to play over the final eight weeks of the season, and having him available means Klich and Phillips will not be over used.
