Pep Guardiola is reportedly ready to help Leeds United by agreeing to loan some of his talented youngsters to Marcelo Bielsa.

With the academy that Manchester City boast, it would be little surprise if many Leeds fans were delighted with reports emerging from The Sun earlier this week that suggested that Marcelo Bielsa may have the opportunity to loan some of Pep Guardiola’s bright youngsters this summer due to the relationship that the two managers share.
The Sun suggested that Angus Gunn, Tosin Adarabioyo, Brahim Diaz and Lukas Nmecha are all targets for Bielsa, who is gearing up for his first season at Elland Road and may be targeting a significant overhaul of the squad following their uninspiring campaign last year.

But while all four men would be fantastic additions to the Whites squad, perhaps Leeds should also consider an ambitious loan bid for Patrick Roberts in the hope that Guardiola would be willing to let him head to Yorkshire for the coming campaign.
The Daily Mail reported earlier in the month that Manchester City value Roberts at £15 million and there had been talk of the winger being used as part of the deal that would see Riyad Mahrez head to the Etihad Stadium. However, the Daily Mirror has since suggested that with James Maddison through the door at the King Power Stadium, the Foxes’ interest in Roberts has waned.

That perhaps leaves an opening for Bielsa to make an ambitious move. When fit, Roberts was superb on loan at Celtic and was even impressive during several of the Champions League games he played for the Hoops. He could take the Championship by storm if given a chance.
Ideally, if Guardiola still hopes to get Roberts in his first-team, he may prefer to loan him to a Premier League side, but given that he can trust what Bielsa could potentially teach him, perhaps Leeds have a shot that they would not have if the 62-year-old was not in charge.
If Leeds added Roberts to the ranks on loan, it would potentially be the most exciting deal that the Whites could possibly do this summer with the 21-year-old arguably one of the most talented youngsters around.
City may have no intention of letting Roberts head to the Championship for a year, even for Bielsa, but with Guardiola reportedly ready to help his former mentor out, perhaps Leeds would be foolish not to try and add the youngster to their squad during the coming weeks.
