Leeds United have a very impressive squad at their disposal, but they are still a few players away from being the complete package as they bid for promotion from the Championship this season.
While Alfonso Pedraza is expected to be confirmed in due course, and a new striker still very much on the agenda, could Leeds also make a move for another player their manager Garry Monk knows very well in the form of Mo Barrow?
According to Sky Sports, the Swansea City player is Newcastle United’s second choice target if they are unable to bring Andros Townsend back to St. James’ Park, and assuming they do not need Barrow, what chance Leeds making a late bid of their own?

Playing on the opposite wing to Pedraza, Barrow would offer Premier League quality to this Leeds side and give them another push as they attempt to return to the top flight after far too long away.
Monk has already shown what he can get out of his former players Pablo Hernandez and Kyle Bartley, and Barrow would be another fine addition, both this year and, perhaps more importantly, if they return to the top table of English football next season.
Such is the fast-paced nature of deadline day that the Mirror is now reporting that Leeds are in fact in talks to sign Barrow…and it could come down to a straight decision between the Whites and Newcastle if the latter are unsuccessful in their ongoing pursuit of Townsend.
