Callum Elder reportedly has a host of Championship sides chasing his signature, and Leeds United should join the race if not already interested.

While Leeds fans will be hoping that Victor Orta will be busy overseeing a number of quality signings this summer, it appears that the Whites have to potentially brace themselves to possibly lose one of their finds of the season.
Tom Pearce followed up a string of stunning under-23 displays by taking little time to adapt to life in the first-team once he was given a chance. Unfortunately for Leeds however, it appears that keeping Pearce at Elland Road this summer could be a tough ask.

The Sun on Sunday (13/05; page 63) recently reported that Everton and Bournemouth are both eyeing a move for the left-back as his contract with Leeds run into its final days. It remains to be seen what Pearce decides to do, but with left-back proving to be one of the most troublesome issues Thomas Christiansen and Paul Heckingbottom faced throughout the season, the Whites need to have a plan up their sleeve in case Pearce decides to head to the top flight.
Perhaps therefore, Leeds should be alerted by a report coming from the Daily Mail which has suggested that Leicester could decide to sell Callum Elder during the summer, with a number of Championship sides and newly-promoted Wigan Athletic – the team he spent this past season on loan with – all eyeing a move for the 23-year-old.
The Australian made 27 League One appearances for the Latics, helping them secure the League One title and reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup with a run that saw Bournemouth, West Ham United and Manchester City all knocked out along the way.

The Mail does not name any other second tier sides keen on signing the youngster, so Leeds may perhaps be amongst the queue. But if they are not, it would perhaps be a wise move to consider during the coming months.
Losing Pearce would be a big blow given the promise that he has shown during the last few weeks of the season, but if they managed to sign Elder as his replacement, it would arguably be a deal that would have the potential to soften the blow significantly.
