Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers go head-to-head this week.
Leeds United head into this evening clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers buoyed by their 2-1 victory against Middlesbrough last time out. However Whites manager Thomas Christiansen may be wise to make a notable change to his starting XI in a bid to get the better of the current league leaders.
Pablo Hernandez has had a hit-and-miss campaign to date, but the Spaniard’s goal on Saturday ensured Leeds got a much-needed three points on the board.
The problem is, away from home against one of the best sides in the second tier, playing Hernandez, Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski in an attacking three behind a main striker could leave Leeds’ defence at risk of being overrun.
There is an argument to be had for Leeds to play the same 11 players and give Wolves a dose of their own medicine, forcing them back rather than hitting on the counter-attack.
However Christiansen will be desperate to turn this latest upturn in form into a winning streak and it may be wise to opt for the ever-dependent Stuart Dallas on the left rather than a still erratic Hernandez.
The Northern Ireland international has been a bit-part player so far this season, however he always does what is asked of him and bringing Dallas in for Hernandez would ensure more steel in an area of the field where it is required to keep Wolves at bay.
Christiansen will want what is best for Leeds, yet it has already been proven that playing both Hernandez and Saiz away from home is an experiment that rarely works against top opponents,.
