N’Koudou has struggled on loan from Tottenham at Burnley this season.

Georges-Kevin N’Koudou will reportedly be told by Tottenham Hotspur that he is surplus to requirements this summer and could be offloaded on a permanent basis.

The Daily Mirror claimed in their live transfer blog on Sunday (10.26pm) that 23-year-old N’Koudou will be allowed to leave north London and finally escape his Tottenham nightmare.

Joining Spurs in the summer of 2016, France Under-21 international N’Koudou has managed just 23 appearances for Mauricio Pochettino’s side and is now said to be interesting Bordeaux and Lille over a permanent return home.

However, it remains to be seen if N’Koudou will want to return to Ligue 1 football or continue to fight for a career over the channel. If it is the latter, Leeds United should consider an ambitious move to lure him to Elland Road on loan.

Though Spurs want to sell him permanently, Pochettino’s outfit could look to give him another chance if he is keen on fighting to stay at Tottenham. He has three years remaining on a contract worth £20,000 a week, according to the Star.

Instead of admitting failure and returning to France, another loan in English football could be what N’Koudou needs to show what he is capable of and perhaps dropping down to the Championship will give him the confidence required.

A trip to Yorkshire could bring the best out of N’Koudou, with Leeds lacking in any degree of pace in the final third. Gjanni Alioski is certainly no slouch, but he is really the only player known for his speed in the Whites’ starting XI.

Leeds are more than capable of funding a large chunk of N’Koudou’s wages, and the sheer calibre of the player will get Whites fans excited ahead of another shot at promotion next term.

Signing N’Koudou would give Leeds the attacking tenacity, an aura of optimism around Elland Road, but most importantly the chance for all parties to profit from such a move.
