Hull City goalkeeper Allan McGregor is reportedly in talks with former side Rangers, but he could be perfect for Leeds.

Paul Heckingbottom has a number of problem positions that he must solve at Leeds United this summer, with a centre-forward and another winger likely to be high on his transfer agenda.
But in goal Leeds lack a commanding, experienced stopper that offer the defensive calmness and trust that would push the Whites to Premier League promotion and a return to the top flight for the first time since being relegated in 2004.
Bailey Peacock-Farrell is just one example of a number of youngsters Heckingbottom has brought into the first team, with the Northern Irish stopper impressing since replacing Felix Wiedwald between the sticks.

However, at just 21, he does not boast the experience and expertise needed to help Leeds mount a promotion charge. In Hull City’s Allan McGregor, Leeds would be adding a player that would finally add some authority to their defence.
McGregor, 36, is said to be in talks with his former side Rangers, as his contract with Nigel Adkins’ side runs out at the end of the season.
The 38-time Scotland international has missed just one game all season, arguably being one of Hull’s best players as he gave the Tigers the fight and know how in a Championship relegation battle.

Now safe, McGregor still seems set to leave the Yorkshire club and instead of returning home, Leeds must convince McGregor to help forefront their promotion charge.
In recent weeks, most notably against Aston Villa, Leeds have lacked the kind of intelligence that comes with years in senior football. At Villa Park, Leeds were torn to shreds though; though they only lost 1-0, it should have been a lot more.
A defence of Vurnon Anita, Matthew Pennington, Paudie O’Connor and Tom Pearce in front of Peacock-Farrell was just far too inexperienced and although Heckingbottom is known for his faith in youth, he needs a player to help guide his young talents into Championship stars.
That man should be McGregor.
