With The Scottish Sun claiming that Dundee will be willing to let Greg Stewart leave this summer for £375,000 plus add-ons, it arguably makes sense for Leeds United to reignite their interest after previously baulking at the idea of paying the Scottish Premiership side’s asking price earlier in the window.
The Dundee Evening Telegraph reported in June that the Dark Blues were looking for around £1m for the forward. However, that price reportedly put all clubs, including the Whites, off a move.

But with The Scottish Sun now suggesting that Dundee are prepared to accept a significantly lower figure – seemingly through fear of losing him for nothing next year when his contract expires – it would surely be a smart move for Garry Monk to consider bolstering his attacking options by signing the 26-year-old.
With the likes of Chris Wood, Kemar Roofe and Marcus Antonsson already available to Monk up front, there are perhaps other areas of the squad that require more attention, and a larger chunk of whatever transfer budget is available to the former Swansea boss.

Nevertheless, with no emergency loan window to wait for, Monk will be desperate to ensure that he has plenty of options signed up before the summer window closes in case the side is hit by the kind of injury crisis that is always possible given the demands of the Championship.
And with Stewart potentially being available for a much smaller fee than initially thought, he would arguably be the ideal option as his arrival would surely not harm the rest of Monk’s transfer plans too much and he would add the kind of depth that the Peacocks perhaps still need in that area of the pitch.
