The door has swung open for Wolverhampton Wanderers to sign Abdulkadir Omur, with a Trabzonspor board member admitting that the Super Lig challengers won’t stand in the winger’s way if he is offered the chance to join a ‘bigger club’, while speaking to Ajansspor.
This Trabzonspor side is somewhat reminiscent to the Montpellier, Monaco and Leicester City sides who upset the apple cart on the way to a remarkable and unexpected sporting triumph. Few would have given them a chance before the season began, but everything has come together at precisely the right time.
Before the entire footballing world was put on pause, Trabzonspor were closing in on their first Super Lig title since 1984. But regardless of whether a dream season ends in glory, it seems only a matter of time before a flurry of star players head for the exit.
Like goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir and star striker Alexander Sorloth, a skilful, left-footed winger nicknamed ‘the Turkish Messi’ continues to be linked with the exit.
Wolves are always on the lookout for potential future superstars and, according to Ajansspor, the £25 million-rated Omur has admirers.

“We think he should join a bigger club,” Trabzonspor’s managing director Ali Kemal Denizci says. “Not everything is about money.”
Ligue 1 outfit Nice have already made an offer for a 20-year-old who likens himself to Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta as opposed to the Argentine number ten he is so frequently compared with.
