Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after The Athletic reported that Dele Alli could be on his way out of the club.
Indeed, The Athletic report that Spurs are open to letting the midfielder move on, and as you can imagine, that’s sparked something of a reaction amongst the fanbase.
Inevitably, Alli has once again proven to be something of a polarising figure. Some fans are gutted to hear that the two-time PFA Player of the Year winner could be on his way out, while others were bemoaning the fact that the 25-year-old wasn’t sold earlier.
Alli has been out of form for the best part of two years at this point and while Spurs didn’t let him go last January, it seems as though the clock could now be ticking on his career in north London.
It’s a real shame, as we mentioned earlier, Alli is a two-time PFA Player of the Year winner and at one point it seemed as though he had the world at his feet, but for one reason or another, he’s not lived up to the potential he showed as a youngster.
