Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted on Twitter to footage of Juan Foyth signing an autograph and taking a picture for a young Spurs supporter.
The 23-year-old is in Northern Ireland where his Villarreal side will take on Chelsea in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday evening.
As Foyth jumped off the coach, a young Spurs supporter held up a banner reading: ‘Foyth please, come and say hello’.
And the defender did just that as he signed an autograph and took a picture with the young fan.
Spurs fans loved that Foyth still has their blood running through his veins, as talk also turned to the club selling him this summer.
Last season, Foyth was loaned out to Villarreal where he helped Unai Emery win the Europa League, including beating Arsenal in the semi-finals and then Manchester United in the final.
It has to be questioned whether Foyth would get into the Tottenham team now because some fans feel he is ahead of the likes of Davinson Sanchez and Eric Dier.
Well, Foyth will be playing Champions League football next season, whilst his former side will be competing in the Europa Conference league.
So, from his perspective, whilst he may have wanted more game time in North London, he made the right call to move to Spain.
And with La Liga now preparing for their first season without Lionel Messi in nearly two decades, the title race may well be open for a lot more teams, including Villarreal.
Nonetheless, here is a selection of Spurs fans reacting to the heart-warming footage of Foyth:
