Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday reportedly want Jack Marriott of Peterborough United.

Jack Marriott is a player in demand, with Leeds United, Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Aston Villa all reported to be interested in the Peterborough United striker.
According to The Sun, Crystal Palace, Forest, Leeds, Wednesday and Villa have eyes on the 23-year-old striker, who scored 27 goals and provided five assists in League One for Peterborough this past season.
Posh director of football Barry Fry has given an update on the situation of the 23-year-old striker, and has outlined the competition there is for the League One hotshot.

Fry told The Peterborough Telegraph: “Eight clubs are chasing Jack, but I still haven’t received a bid worthy of taking to the board of directors.
“It’s not a problem. We are prepared to keep Jack if we don’t get a good enough offer. We are prepared to sell him, but not because we have to for financial reasons.”

Tough for Leeds United and Sheffield Wednesday?
Fry’s comments make it clear that Peterborough will sell Marriott for the right price, which is £6.5 million according to The Sun.
With as many as eight clubs interested in the 23-year-old, as revealed by Fry, Leeds and Wednesday are going to find it tough to sign him.
Not only would the Whites and the Owls have to come up with an offer that would suit The Posh, but they would also have to convince Marriott to make the switch.
Would Leeds and Wednesday be able to stave off the competition that they face, especially as both of them endured quite a disappointing campaign in the Championship next season?
