The Frenchman has drawn interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Southampton, but Everton should join the party this summer.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman has his work cut-out, if he is to build a squad capable of making a sustained push for the Champions League places next term, and will surely be extremely active during this summer’s transfer window.
One particular area of concern for the Dutchman will be the right-back department, what with Seamus Coleman currently out with a long-term injury, after he sustained a broken leg whilst on international duty with the Republic of Ireland.
With this in mind, the addition of an experienced right-back will surely feature highly on Koeman’s wish-list, and an interesting option for them could be Bacary Sagna, who was recently released by Manchester City.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move to numerous Premier League clubs, including Newcastle United, Crystal Palace and Southampton, according to the Daily Star.
And Everton should muscle in on the aforementioned clubs’ interest in the 34-year-old, who would provide fantastic cover in the right-back slot, whilst Coleman is unavailable for selection.
The former Arsenal man has proven his quality at the highest level over the past decade, with his incredibly high levels of consistency, and he would be a fantastic addition to Koeman’s squad.
Despite his advancing years, he is still in superb physical condition, and the full-back is easily capable of producing the goods in the Premier League for another couple of years at least.

The Toffees are expected to deploy 20-year-old Mason Holgate in the right-back slot next term, and despite his undoubted talent, playing for the entire season in such an important team role could prove challenging both mentally and physically for someone so young, which is why Sagna would be such a useful signing for the Blues.
He is available on a free transfer this summer, but the Daily Star claims that he was on £85,000 per week at City, so he will surely expect an equally lucrative package, whichever club he joins this summer.
With Everton’s new-found financial power following Farhad Moshiri’s investment in the club in February, meeting Sagna’s demands should not prove a problem, however.
