Should Everton make a move with Leicester prepared to offload Kelechi Iheanacho?

Everton could still be looking to sign a striker despite signing Cenk Tosun, and perhaps the Leicester City striker should come onto their radar.

Everton have signed Cenk Tosun in the January transfer window, but Sam Allardyce could still be looking to bolster that area.

The Toffees have scored only 25 goals in the Premier League this season, and that is why this is an option certainly worth considering for them as they head into the final 16 games of the campaign.

The Sun has recently reported that Leicester City are prepared to offload Kelechi Iheanacho and are ready to make a loss of the £25 million they spent when they signed him from Manchester City in the summer.

He has started in just two of his nine top flight games, and is yet to score his first Premier League goal for the Foxes. Considering his spell at the King Power Stadium, his signing would represent a gamble.

However, the Nigerian international is only 21, and has age on his side to bring his career back on track.

He has eight goals in 13 international games for his country, and has scored over 20 goals for Manchester City, with most of them coming from the bench.

Iheanacho has pace, directness, and scoring instinct, and would be a smart signing for Everton. Probably he needs a manager who can provide him the confidence that he currently lacks.

He could be a risky signing, but it could prove to be an inspired decision if Allardyce can get the best out of him.
