As Steven Caulker continues to impress at Dundee, should Everton keep an eye in their search for a new centre-back?
Everton are in the market for a new centre-back this summer as manager Sam Allardyce looks to overhaul a squad largely put together by predecessor Ronald Koeman.
According to the Sun, Den Haag defender Wilfried Kanon is on the Toffees’ wishlist and with a price-tag of just £2m the Ivory Coast international could be quite the bargain.

Yet should the Merseyside club be keeping a close eye on developments in the Scottish Premiership, where England international Steven Caulker is rebuilding his career with Dundee?
A product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth system, Caulker was already creating a strong reputation for himself when he was named Yeovil Town’s player of the season while on loan at the Somerset club in 2009/10 aged just 17.
The 26-year-old later impressed in the Premier League with Swansea City and then got his chance with Spurs in 2012/13, earning his first and only cap so far for the Three Lions that same season.
Caulker has since had problems on and off the pitch and was released by QPR in December, but now in Scotland the former Liverpool loanee is showing glimpses of the talent that saw him previously thought of as one of the most exciting youngsters in the country.
In fact the Englishman has done so well that the Scottish Sun reports that a £1.8m bid from Rosenborg has been rejected. This would have been a club record fee received by Dundee so it probably wouldn’t take much more to convince them to sell.
For Everton, this could be a gamble worth taking.
