The talented Wolves defender would be an excellent signing for Everton.

Although Everton have improved significantly since Sam Allardyce took charge, it is clear that there is still much work that needs to be done in order to improve the overall situation at Goodison Park.

Everton will surely be looking to bring in reinforcements during this month’s transfer window, and one player that they should consider signing is Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause.

The 22-year-old, who has been capped by England at youth level, is being monitored by Huddersfield Town and Watford, as reported by The Sun.

The report indicates that Hause, who can play at centre-back or left-back, could be available for just £2.5 million, and in such circumstances Everton should certainly attempt to secure a deal for him.

In 2015, Everton were linked with Hause, as reported by The Daily Star, and now seems the perfect time for them to follow up that interest.

Hause has found playing time difficult to come by at Wolves this season but could prove to be a valuable squad member at Everton.

Everton could do with bringing in a young centre-back to eventually take the place in the squad of Phil Jagielka, who is nearing the end of his career.

Meanwhile, Everton still have problem at left-back, with Cuco Martina not a genuine option for the long term and Leighton Baines in decline, and Hause could also help to address that issue.

It seems clear that Everton should look to bring in Hause in January if possible and it could turn out to be an inspired move.
