The Anderlecht hitman is reportedly attracting attention from Tottenham Hotspur, but Everton should consider gatecrashing the party.
Toffees boss Sam Allardyce has made no secret of his desire to add more fire-power to his ranks at Goodison Park, even after bringing Cenk Tosun to the club this month.
Janaury is always a notoriously difficult month for clubs to add genuine quality to their ranks, whilst achieving value for money, so the 63-year-old will have to be smart in his recruitment.
A potential option for them, however, could be Anderlecht hitman Lukasz Teodorczyk, who has been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur today by Polish media outlet Sport PL.
The 26-year-old has struggled for goals this season, with just three to his name in 17 league outings for his club, but his career stats make far more impressive reading.
The Poland international has scored 33 goals in 77 for the Belgian side, since joining them from Dynamo Kyiv, initially on loan in 2016.
Standing at 6ft 1in tall, Teodorczyk is strong in the air, and competent when playing with his back to goal and bringing others into play – something that would make him the ideal strike partner for Cenk Tosun.
He isn’t blessed with amazing pace, but his role as the focal point of Everton’s attack would mean that he doesn’t necessarily need to be quick.
The Pole is an intelligent player, and could add a certain amount of nouse to the Toffees’ play in the final third.
Transfermarkt value Teodorczyk at around £9 million, which would represent fantastic business for Everton, although it is unclear how much the Belgian side would actually consider selling him for.
With the tranfer window now open and in full swing, this could be one for Everton fans to keep a close eye on.
