Cenk Tosun currently has the role of first-choice striker at Everton, but should his manager Marco Silva be concerned about his involvement in front of goal?

He is yet to score in his opening five appearances so far this season and has had just eight shots on goal in that time (Premier League stats).

Tosun may not be firing shots away regularly, but this season in particular has been playing a selfless role that sees him bring his teammates into play and he already has two assists under his belt.
The powerful centre-forward offers a physical presence at the point of attack, while wingers Theo Walcott and Richarlison can work off him.
Tosun is a striker that is ultimately going to be judged on his goal output, but it’s too early to worry about his scoring this season because he’s playing a key role for the side.
But on the flip side there would be nothing wrong with Silva giving him a nudge to be a little bit more selfish in the final third to increase his attempts on goal.
His return of five goals in 19 appearances at Everton is decent given he’s made just 26 attempts, which is why he should be encouraged to shoot more.
