Crystal Palace are in the midst of a striker crisis.
Crystal Palace are expected to seek attacking reinforcements when the transfer window reopens in January.
Even with Christian Benteke – perhaps, too, Connor Wickham – due to return by then, the Eagles will need to add depth to avoid a repeat of their autumn striker shortage.
Their options, though, could be few and far between if they fail to haul themselves away from the foot of the Premier League table.
One player who could be keen, however, is Nemanja Nikolic of Major League Soccer side, Chicago Fire – a Palace target in 2014, according to the Daily Mail.
Nikolic – who was wanted by Hull City in January, according to ESPN FC – has scored prolifically since then, for Videoton, Legia Warsaw and his current employers, the club at which he was recently awarded the MLS golden boot.
The play-offs await the Men in Red this winter, and should Nikolic continue his recent momentum, he’d make a decent signing for someone once January arrives.
It could even be Crystal Palace.
