Should Celtic try and re-sign Ki Sung-yueng if Swansea are relegated?
If Swansea City are relegated from the Premier League, Celtic should look at bringing one former son back to Parkhead this summer.
Ki Sung-yueng spent three years at Celtic before joining the Premier League side in 2012.
But the Swans are only three points above the relegation zone and demotion to the Championship remains a possibility for the South Welsh outfit.
And Hoops boss Brendan Rodgers should look at bringing him back to Glasgow if that scenario materialises for City – and if his latest comments are anything to go by, Ki might be interested.
The South Korea international said to The Record today: “Brendan Rodgers is the manager who has made the team really competitive. When I saw they hadn’t lost 60 or 70 games I thought that was an incredible achievement.
“Celtic are one of the biggest clubs in the UK. I really enjoyed my time at the club and still follow the team.”
The 29-year-old has clearly retained an affection for his former club and with the likes of Tom Rogic linked with summer moves away, Celtic fans probably wouldn’t baulk at re-signing the talented midfielder.
