It would certainly not be that surprising if Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has plenty of work to do in the summer transfer market when it comes to bolstering his attacking options.
Patrick Roberts’ loan expires at the end of the season, and Moussa Dembele is attracting the attention of the Premier League’s biggest clubs (via Daily Mail), so preparing for his possible departure also may be a smart idea for the Hoops.
With that in mind, Rodgers may want to consider turning towards one of his targets from last summer who would be able to fill in in either position, and has endured a difficult year with his current club.
According to a report from the Daily Mail last year, Celtic wanted to sign Hal Robson-Kanu and were, at one stage, the frontrunners for his signature before he ultimately joined West Brom.

The 27-year-old has struggled at the Hawthorns, and Tony Pulis even admitted that he was not one of the players he wanted to sign during the summer window (via Wales Online), and that is perhaps reflected in how sparingly he has been used.
Those factors would suggest that the Baggies may be willing to do a deal at a decent price. And while his record with West Brom would not fill Bhoys fans with confidence if a deal did look likely, it must be remembered the influence that Rodgers can have.
It was Rodgers who handed Robson-Kanu his Reading debut when he was in charge of the Royals, having worked with him in the academy previously.
And those writing off the impact the forward could make if he came to Parkhead must not forget what Rodgers has done for some of the previously written-off members of the Hoops squad during his brief time in charge.
