The Bhoys wanted the Dutchman in 2015 and he has just been released by Feyenoord.

In the rush of transfer deadline day, sometimes a player exit cannot be found in time. This was the case with Feyenoord striker Michiel Kramer. The Dutchman was not wanted in Rotterdam, but no suitable deal was found in time for the deadline shutting. So, he was released, in order to find himself a new club once the transfer window shut.

Which might interest Celtic fans. The name will sound familiar to Bhoys supporters, as they were heavily linked with his signature previously.

In August 2015 it was reported that Celtic wanted to sign the player from ADO Den Haag. Omroep West reported that Celtic were scouting the player and wanted to bring him in.

In the end he agreed a move to Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates. That move collapsed and he ended up joining Feyenoord instead.

Things have since turned sour and he even found himself suspended and fined in December after eating a sandwich whilst a substitute, as reported by the Sun.

Now he is available on a free, should Celtic rekindle their interest?

Management has changed since they were keen, with Brendan Rodgers not Ronny Deila in the hotseat but the Dutch striker could still be a good option.

Celtic have some injury fears up front. Moussa Dembele has been alarmingly fragile this season and Leigh Griffiths has now picked up a knock.

Another striking option would be a wise move from Celtic, even if it was just on a six or 18-month contract.

He may have been a Deila target, which will immediately put off most Celtic supporters, but Kramer could so a very good job for Celtic in their current state of affairs.
