Sunderland winger Aiden McGeady seemingly wants a return to Celtic.

Aiden McGeady came out this week and claimed to The Record that he would love a return to Celtic.
The Republic of Ireland winger, who has 92 caps under his belt, enjoyed a brilliant six-year spell in Celtic’s first team, prior to leaving to join Spartak Moscow in a £9.5 million deal back in 2010.
Now with Sunderland, the 32-year-old, who earns £31,000 per week on Wearside [Silly Season], is looking ahead and a move to Parkhead would delight him, he says.
But would it suit the Hoops? Well, yes.
Celtic could and probably will be in the market for a winger come January after losing Daniel Arzani for the entire season.
The 19-year-old tore his anterior cruciate ligament in the 5-0 demolition at Dundee on Halloween night, meaning that manager Brendan Rodgers really must replace him.
McGeady, who has three goals in four League One starts for the Black Cats, might be past his best, but that doesn’t mean that he still wouldn’t be a cracking addition by Celtic.
Okay so he’ll be 33 in April, but the Scotland-born winger, who has 18 months left on his Sunderland contract, still has more than enough quality to be an asset for the Hoops.
Who would Celtic fans prefer to see coming off the bench in a tight game, McGeady or Jonny Hayes? It’s a no-brainer and Rodgers really should listen to his ‘come get me’ plea.
