Should Celtic go for Brandon Barker if he’s available this summer?

Brandon Barker has hinted on Twitter that he is leaving Hibernian to return to Manchester City.
The 21-year-old spent the 2017-18 campaign at Easter Road on loan and suggested on social media that he may not be returning to Leith, after posting a photo of himself applauding Hibs supporters.
Speaking to The Scotsman in December, Neil Lennon suggested that it would be “very difficult” to facilitate a permanent move to Edinburgh this summer and Celtic should consider bringing him to Glasgow.
Barker, who earns £10,000 per week with City [The Daily Star], might be a fine talent, but is he really good enough for Pep Guardiola’s side? At the moment, probably not and he may never reach the requisite standard to be a regular first-team player for the Citizens.
Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has a good relationship with the Premier League champions after signing Olivier Ntcham and Patrick Roberts on loan from them last summer and Barker should interest Rodgers this time.

The youngster can play on both wings and considering that Rodgers has already lost Charly Musonda and Roberts then obviously signing a wide player is on the agenda.
Barker managed two goals and four assists in 17 Premiership starts last season, which isn’t a brilliant return, but it’s not a bad one either and working with better players, and playing under a man-manager of Rodgers’s talents, then he could and probably would improve quite a bit at Parkhead.
