Celtic conceded seven in the Champions League and it’s not the first time under Rodgers.

Celtic suffered a humbling 7-1 defeat to Champions League favourites Paris St Germain despite being 1-0 up.
Brendan Rodgers’ side has now conceded 12 goals in the two matches against the French outfit and despite their unbelievable qualities, conceding seven to anyone is embarrassing.
It’s not the first time it’s happened to Rodgers while at Celtic, which has raised questions. Last season, Celtic fell to a 7-0 defeat against Barcelona at the Nou Camp, and a similar capitulation by the Bhoys suggests lessons have not been learned.
Celtic also conceded seven at the Nou Camp in September 2016
The Hoops have shown they can compete against the elite clubs under Rodgers as well though. They earned two credible draws against Manchester City last season, narrowly lost 2-1 to Bayern Munich this term and triumphed 3-0 away at Anderlecht.
The hammering they took from PSG could have cost Celtic third place in the group. Anderlecht were drawing with Bayern Munich at one stage which would have meant any win for Anderlecht at Celtic Park in a fortnight would see them take third and a place in the Europa League. Luckily for Rodgers, Bayern won 2-1 and Anderlecht need to score four to overtake Celtic.

It’s harsh to criticise a manager who has gone 52 league games unbeaten but in terms of this game, criticism is fair, especially as Celtic are likely to continue to draw tough teams whenever they reach the Champions League group stage.
Simply put, Rodgers has to put a stop to such scorelines.
