The midfielder has looked shaky in his last few performances for the Cherries.

Following Manchester City’s straightforward 2-0 win over Bournemouth, a few Cherries fans have been questioning the consistent selection of midfielder Andrew Surman.
The 30-year-old hasn’t been in tremendous form for Eddie Howe’s side this season, yet Howe has remained loyal to the South African born midfielder, who featured in every Premier League game for Bournemouth last season.
Some fans seem to think that as Surman is getting older, his touch is getting poorer and were expressing concern at Surman’s positioning for the goals the Cherries conceded against City, as well as his general performances in recent weeks.
With Bournemouth flirting a little too vigorously with relegation than most fans would like – Howe’s side are six points above the drop zone and without a win in 2017, a run stretching six Premier League matches – maybe some personnel changes are required.

Summer signing Lewis Cook has returned from a three month ankle injury and the central midfielder is available again for selection, making him the most logical replacement for Surman, should he be dropped.
However, whether Howe’s loyalty to Surman will prevent that remains to be seen. If Bournemouth carry on losing games, Howe might have little choice than to shake things up.
