Dean Smith has said at his latest press conference, which was broadcast on the club’s official website, that Bertrand Traore should be available to play for Aston Villa against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
Traore picked up an injury in Villa’s recent match against Newcastle United and had to be substituted off.
However, the Burkina Faso international is set to train with Villa at the weekend.
And Smith is hoping that he can put the pacy wide-man in his squad at the weekend.
“Bertrand (Traore) is having an injection and he will train on Saturday, so he should be available for selection come Sunday,” he said.

If Traore is only able to participate in one training session before the weekend’s games it seems most likely he will be used as a substitute.
But even if that is the case, he could be a useful asset for Smith to have from the bench.
Villa have not looked at their best in an attacking sense in Jack Grealish’s absence, so losing another of their most dangerous forward players would’ve been a real blow.
If Villa can beat Tottenham at the weekend they will jump ahead of Jose Mourinho’s side in the table.
