Aston Villa are expected to be busy in the transfer market this month.
Aston Villa have been on a poor run of form recently, and Steve Bruce will surely be looking to bring some quality additions into the club over the remaining two weeks of the transfer window.
Villa’s squad seems to be extremely unbalanced at present, with too many strikers, and not enough defenders or midfielders.
Should Bruce consider a move for Hull City’s Tom Huddlestone?
Hull City’s Tom Huddlestone in action
The 30-year-old midfielder is a classy operator, and possesses a tremendous range of passing, which could prove to be vital to the Villans in linking up defence and attack.
It will obviously not be easy to prise a player of Huddlestone’s quality away from a side in desperate need of top-class players themselves, but Villa could attempt to sweeten the deal by offering the Tigers Ross McCormack in return.
And with the Humberside outfit being in such desperate need of a proven striker, they may very well be tempted by the prospect of having the Scotland international at the KCOM Stadium.
Hull City’s Tom Huddlestone
With Villa currently 10 points adrift of the play-off spots, Bruce must be looking at their midfield as an area of weakness, and many of their poor results of late have been mostly down to their failure to keep hold of the football.
There are not many players in the game better at doing that than Huddlestone, and along with his experience of playing at the highest level, he could prove to be a fantastic addition to the Villa squad, should a move come to fruition.
