Fulham are said to be willing to offload Richard Stearman to a Championship side, and he could be a good fit for Aston Villa.
According to Get West London, Fulham are keen to loan out Richard Stearman to Championship sides this season – and he could be a good fit for Aston Villa.
Steve Bruce is known to be looking to add quality to his squad this summer, but he has a limited amount of funds to do so.
Villa are having to cut costs, after spending big on their team over the past two transfer windows.

And the loan of Stearman could offer Villa an experienced defender, of proven Championship quality, without costing them a vast amount.
Stearman is also settled in the Midlands area, having spent last season on loan at Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Indeed, Stearman had wanted to complete a permanent move to Wolves – but no deal materialised.

Villa should now capitalise on Wolves’ decision not to snap up Stearman, and bring the powerful defender to Villa Park.
Although the 29-year-old’s arrival would not create great excitement, he would help Bruce strengthen his options in defence – and that could be crucial for the upcoming campaign.
