The Liverpool midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and would go down a storm at Arsenal.

According to a recent report from Corriere dello Sport, and later published in England by the Sun, Manchester United are interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Emre Can, with the Reds player set to become a free agent next summer. But if they are viable candidates, Arsenal should also throw their hat into the ring.
The Gunners do not have a central midfielder of Can’s quality and, at 23, the German is only going to get better with age.
If he would be willing to join United from their fierce rivals Liverpool, Arsenal would be foolish not to test the water and see if a deal could be concluded to bring the midfielder to the Emirates Stadium, either for a cut-price fee in January or for nothing just a few months later.

Arsenal recently played a blinder when they agreed a pre-contract agreement with Sead Kolasinac, and the defender is already excelling since his arrival in North London, becoming a firm fan favourite in the process.
Bringing Can to the club would be another coup for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger and, as unlikely as it may be, the Gunners could do with the player as they bid to get back to their best.

Much may depend on whether Arsenal can offer Champions League football next season, after missing out this time round, along with Can’s preference for a spell in Manchester or a move to the capital.
Only time will tell, but some of the best transfer moves come out of nowhere and, if Arsenal want to build a squad capable of challenging both domestically and in Europe, a move for the Liverpool man would certainly be another step in the right direction.
