Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on the PSG man, but Arsenal are arguably more in need of his services.

The Gunners have one of the strongest squads in the Premier League on the whole, but one area of concern for Arsene Wenger will surely be central midfield.

The Frenchman has plenty of options in the middle of the park, but there is a serious lack of quality currently present, with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny failing to produce the goods since joining the club.

Santi Cazorla’s injury problems are ongoing, and it is difficult to envisage him returning to anywhere near his best. Aaron Ramsey continues to flatter to deceive, whilst Jack Wilshere looks to be heading for the Emirates exit door.

And with all of this in mind, Arsenal should consider challenging their fierce rivals Spurs for the signature of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot, who is available for £20 million this summer, according to Transfer Market Web.

The 22-year-old is a classy operator, and would undoubtedly help the Gunners improve upon the fluidity of their play, something that they have desperately struggled with during the absence of Cazorla.

Whilst the Spaniard is nearly impossible to replace, what with his attributes and skill-set being so unique in the modern game, the PSG midfielder is about as close to him as there is in world football.

Rabiot is intelligent, and possesses wonderful ball dispersion skills, with his eye for a killer pass rivalled by few in the game. He also plays with a certain level of maturity that defies his tender years.

And if Wenger manages to bring him to the Emirates, not only would it vastly improve his central midfield options, but it would also deal a physiological blow to Spurs, what with their reported courtship of the Frenchman.
