Watch HITC Sport’s preview as West Bromwich Albion prepare to travel to the Emirates to face Arsenal on Boxing Day.
West Bromwich Albion have arguably been handed one of the toughest Boxing Day fixtures as they travel to Arsenal looking to show that they deserve to be so high in the Premier League table. But do they have a weapon in their side that the Gunners should fear?
HITC Sport’s Michael Ramsey and James Rutherford believe that Salomon Rondon has the potential to cause the home side plenty of problems.
“They’ll probably be terrified of this man, [he is] a threat in the air,” HITC Sport’s Michael suggested when discussing why the Venezuelan could be dangerous.
Salomon Rondon
There is no doubt that Arsene Wenger’s men will have to be wary of what Rondon could do given the season he is currently enjoying.
After a promising but unspectacular first season at the Hawthorns, the 27-year-old has kicked on this term and is already within two goals of equalling his total of nine during the entirety of the last campaign, largely thanks to a hat-trick in the recent win over Swansea.
But Arsenal will be also be very much aware of how important a win could be for their title hopes, which have faded dramatically over the last two games.

Defeats against Everton and Manchester City have left the Gunners nine points adrift of top spot, and arguably needing an almost flawless run until the end of the season if they hope to be in contention for the title when the campaign reaches the business end.
Interestingly, Michael and James were not unanimous in their assessment of where the points will be going.
