Newcastle United striker Aleksandar Mitrovic has been linked a move to Brighton and Hove Albion in the January transfer window.

Aleksandar Mitrovic is struggling for playing time at Newcastle United at the moment.
The 23-year-old striker has yet to start a match in the Premier League and has made just one substitute appearance in the league.
During the 2016-17 campaign, Mitrovic made only 11 starts in the Championship, scoring four goals and providing six assists in the process.

In his debut season in England in 2015-16, the Serbia international striker scored nine goals and provided four assists in 22 Premier League starts for Newcastle.
The 23-year-old is a very talented striker who is still quite young and can develop, but playing as a substitute and being just a squad player is not doing him any favour.
Mitrovic arrived at St. James’ Park from Anderlecht in the summer of 2015 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £13 million.

Although the youngster has yet to fully show what he is capable of at Newcastle, he is not going to do much if he does not get the chance.
With Serbia having qualified for the 2018 World Cup finals in Russia, Mitrovic needs playing time in order to be on top of his game next summer.
The 23-year-old is too good to be wasting himself on the substitutes’ bench, and if Brighton and Hove Albion, who want him in the January transfer window according to The Sun, guarantee him regular playing time, then he should not hesitate to switch clubs.
