Alan Pardew looks set to be confirmed as West Bromwich Albion’s new manager and should waste no time getting to work.

According to the Express and Star, Alan Pardew is all set to be confirmed as the new West Brom manager – and with the Baggies currently in a perilous position in the Premier League, the 56-year-old will surely waste no time getting down to work.
While his focus is likely to be on the first-team, he should arguably also give some attention regarding Tyler Roberts’ contract situation as he continues to impress out on loan with Walsall.

But Roberts is clearly an enormous talent, and Pardew should look to do everything he can to try and convince the teenager that things will change under his management and thus, he should extend his contract with the club.

Roberts has scored five times out on loan with the League One side, and has contributed three league assists this term, so it certainly appears that he has the potential to be an important player for West Brom in the future if he stays.
So with his contract situation, as things stand, surely forcing the Baggies into a decision during the January transfer window, Pardew should surely waste no time in putting a new deal for Roberts near the very top of his agenda once his appointment is confirmed by West Brom.
