Nottingham Forest’s fortunes have not exactly changed much since the appointment of Aitor Karanka as Mark Warburton’s successor. The 2-0 win at Wolves earlier this month seemed a turning point, but three defeats on the bounce seem to dispute that fact.

The club did plenty of business on transfer deadline day, with lots of new faces around the City Ground. But Forest should certainly consider giving one of their young players another chance in the first-team.
Alex Iacovitti made his debut for the Reds in August 2016 and looked like he was set for an extended run in the first-team. That never happened and he has since spent time on loan at Mansfield and Forest Green Rovers.
The Scottish youngster is now back at the City Ground and looking to get back into the first-team. He is doing a pretty good job at getting noticed. He has performed brilliantly for the development team since his return from Forest Green last month. He even scored a wonderful goal with his wrong foot at the weekend.

Forest are not exactly overrun with defensive options and Iacovitti, at 20-years-old and coming to the end of his contract at the City Ground, needs to prove his worth or be shown the exit door.
He hasn’t featured for Forest since the 3-0 defeat v Brighton in August 2016. It might be time he is given one last chance to shine.
