Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil has left some supporters stunned after he called for Jerome Boateng to be put back in the Germany squad, following his nation’s 6-0 defeat to Spain.

Ozil and Boateng have both been excluded from Germany’s team recently, but Joachim Low’s side did not cope well without them yesterday.

The Arsenal playmaker could not resist seemingly taking a pop on social media after the defeat.

And many fans were left shocked by Ozil’s comment, even if they did generally agree with his point.

Ozil’s show of dissent is unlikely to go down too well with Low, but the Arsenal man has been extremely active on social media recently.

Since dropping out of the Gunners’ team, Ozil has frequently posted on Twitter.

Thankfully he has generally been very supportive of his Arsenal teammates, as he fights to win his place back in the team at the Emirates Stadium.

Ozil has been totally left out of Mikel Arteta’s side’s Premier League squad, which means that he won’t play until January at the very earliest.
