Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting to Patrick Bamford’s comments about Ben White.

The striker spoke about his former teammate on the Official Leeds United podcast, and he gave a very honest view on the centre-back.

“He’s enjoying it back there, I think it’s because that’s where he’s from and stuff he’s back with his family and friends and that, but I was thinking though, if he stayed at Leeds he’d probably be in the England squad, he’d be in the England squad,” Bamford said.

As you can imagine, these comments sparked a reaction from the Leeds fanbase, who still have a strong affinity with White.

Unsurprisingly, a number of Leeds fans agreed with Bamford’s view that White would have been a star if he’d stayed at Elland Road, and to be fair, we can’t help but agree.

White looked to be a perfect fit for Marcelo Bielsa’s system, and with the Yorkshire club flourishing in the Premier League, you’d have to imagine that White would have been fantastic if he’d joined permanently.

Sadly, it wasn’t to be and we’re left wondering what could have been.

Here’s what the Elland Road faithful have been saying on social media…
