Jack Clarke is having a pretty decent loan spell since leaving Tottenham Hotspur last month.

The £10 million signing from 2019 has struggled to break into Spurs’ senior side on a regular basis and this is the 20-year-old winger’s third loan away from North London.

This time, the former Leeds United gem has joined Stoke City and he’s been one of the club’s better Championship players in recent weeks.

So much so, in fact, that Potters fans on Twitter are disgusted with Michael O’Neill’s decision to take him off on Saturday.

Clarke, who has never played in the Premier League with Tottenham, had been looking pretty dangerous in yesterday’s 0-0 draw with Reading, but O’Neill hauled him off for Jacob Brown with 10 minutes left.

And suffice to say that some City fans were absolutely fuming with the decision. Here’s how they reacted on Twitter:

Listen, O’Neill is a very experienced manager and one who has coached Northern Ireland in a major tournament.

Therefore, he must have had a very good reason to remove the Lilywhites attacker, but it remains to be seen what that reason is.
