Perry Groves criticised Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris on talkSPORT (3:57pm, December 13, 2020), and said that Liverpool star Alisson would not have made the mistake that he did today.

Lloris was at fault for Palace’s goal in the 81st minute of the Premier League game at Selhurst Park in London on Sunday afternoon.

The French goalkeeper failed to hold onto Eberechi Eze’s free kick, allowing Jeffrey Schlupp to tuck the ball in.

Former Arsenal winger Groves criticised the mistake from Lloris, and believes that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson would not have made the same error.

Ex-Manchester City forward Rodney Marsh has also slammed Tottenham goalkeeper Lloris.

Groves said on talkSPORT (3:57pm, December 13, 2020): “Shocking, shocking error. That’s worse than Ramsdale’s.”

The former Arsenal winger added: “You talk about calmness, Alisson, he doesn’t make that mistake.”

Disappointing from Hugo Lloris

Lloris, 33, is a very experienced and good goalkeeper, and the former Lyon star will be disappointed with the goal that he conceded.

It should have been a straightforward save from the Frenchman, and Tottenham will be disappointed that they could not hold onto their a 1-0 lead.

Tottenham will be looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League on Wednesday evening when they take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield.
