Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after Martin Tyler suggested that Chelsea could sign Harry Kane.
The Sky Sports commentator waited until the 21st minute until he began discussing Kane’s future, during Chelsea’s 2-1 win over Leicester.
Clearly, the Spurs fans aren’t very happy with the 75-year-old.
For context, some Tottenham fans have had an issue with Sky Sports constantly talking about Kane for some time now.
Some supporters were frustrated back in March after he was included in a tweet involving Dominic Calvert-Lewin, after the Everton man scored for England.
Kane wasn’t even playing in that game, nor did Calvert-Lewin mention him in his interview.
Now, amid talk that the Tottenham No.10 wants to leave, Sky Sports are talking about the Spurs talisman more than ever.
This is clearly getting to the Tottenham fans.
It’s understandable that Tyler wants to talk about the topic – he’s more than entitled to share his views on the biggest football news in England right now.
However, he is wasting his breath talking about Kane potentially joining Chelsea, in our view.
If Daniel Levy was to allow the 27-year-old to go, it feels unfathomable that he would let him join Chelsea.
The Blues are one of Tottenham’s bitter London rivals, along with Arsenal.
If Kane does join another team in England, it feels as if only Manchester City would have enough money, and lure of consistent silverware, to pull the deal off.
If he ended up at Stamford Bridge, his legacy among Tottenham fans would take a massive dent, in our view.
Levy would also become even more unpopular than he already is if he sanctioned such a deal – it surely won’t happen.
