Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter to react after seeing how much Castore are charging for a hoodie in the club shop.
What’s the story?
Well, in the midst of a global pandemic, this is ridiculous.
One supporter filmed the price tag of two hoodies in the club shop, with one simple black design going for £165!
The item simply says ‘Newcastle’ under Castore’s logo, on a black hoodie which you’d probably find for £5 in Primark if it were blank.
It comes after Castore also designed the club’s new shirts for the 2021/22 season, much to the fanbase’s horror.
They noticed that the home shirt has a black No.4 right under the neck, due to a design fault caused by the use of a grandad collar.
Castore, have some shame

How do Castore expect Newcastle fans to afford this?
As aforesaid, we’re in the midst of a global pandemic, in which many have lost their jobs and have suffered severe financial problems.
As a result, are people really in a position to be paying £165 for a hoodie?
No, is the answer.

Even before COVID-19 struck, it would’ve been a joke to charge such a fee.
It also puts unfair pressure on parents of children who may enter the club shop and become desperate to have one of the hoodies.
Castore, you need a major rethink.
For now, let’s see what the Newcastle fans on Twitter have been saying…
