Some Leeds United fans have strongly criticised Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah on Twitter for his stamp on Diego Llorente.

Leeds played out a 1-1 draw with Liverpool at Elland Road in the Premier League on Monday evening.

Sadio Mane put the defending Premier League champions in the lead after 31 minutes, but Llorente restored parity for the home team in the 87th minute.

Salah – who cost Liverpool £34 million in transfer fees in 2017, according to BBC Sport – did not start the match, but the Egypt international came on as a substitute in the 71st minute.

Towards the end of the game, the 28-year-old forward appeared to stamp on Llorente during a challenge.

While the Spain international central defender was not hurt, it did appear that the former Chelsea attacking player could have done more to avoid it.

There was no yellow card given to Salah or any VAR check done over the incident, and some Leeds fans are not happy with the Liverpool star’s action and with the officials for overlooking the incident, as shown in the following posts on Twitter.
