Emmanuel Frimpong was angry with Arsenal duo David Luiz and Saed Kolasinac for their ‘shocking’ defending during Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Tottenham.

The former Premier League midfielder was watching the behind-closed-doors North London derby for Sky Sports during a Watchalong, (12/07/20 ).

Following Lacazette’s stunning opener, Kolasinac’s poor backpass to Luiz minutes later saw Heung-Min Son run through on goal and equalise.

Frimpong wasn’t impressed with what he saw from Arsenal’s defenders, as he summed up his thoughts just after the equaliser.

“What the hell,” Frimpong reacted on Sky Sports. “What’ going on? This is what I was telling you before. The defending is shocking. Shocking defending. Shocking defending for professional footballers.

“Shocking, David Luiz and Kolasinac. Shocking. I mean this is what it feels like to be an Arsenal fan. One minute you are happy and the next minute you are sad. It is what it is.”

After the break, Arsenal were the dominant side, in terms of possession, with both sides creating chances.

But with 10 minutes left on the clock, Toby Alderweireld headed home from a corner to earn a crucial three points for his side, not just in terms of bragging rights, but in their quest to secure a European place.

This is the first time Spurs and Arsenal have faced off at Tottenham’s new stadium, but to the disappointment of the fans, they had to watch from home.
