Aston Villa vs Sheffield United wouldn’t usually be a fixture that has Arsenal fans talking, but Gunners supporters were left fuming after one incident in that game.

Indeed, some Arsenal fans on social media were far from happy after Phil Jagielka was sent off against the Midlands club, and for good reason.

Gunners fans pointed out a discrepancy between Jagialka’s red card tackle, and Ezri Konsa’s challenge on Bukayo Saka last month and when you see the two incidents side by side, it has to be said that there is a point to be made.

Jagielka had a man coming over to cover him when he made the challenge, while Saka seemingly had a direct route to goal when he was impeded by Konsa, but Jagielka was red-carded and Konsa was only booked.

Arsenal fans weren’t happy with the Konsa incident at the time, and it seems as though they’re still not over it.

Regardless of whether or not dragging up this incident once again is worthwhile, it has to be said that Arsenal fans have a case to make that Konsa’s challenge was worse than Jagielka’s.

Here’s what the Arsenal fanbase have been saying on social media…
