Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Telegraph provided an update on Ralf Rangnick and Manchester United.

What’s the story?

Well, Crystal Palace are set to suffer from ‘new manager bounce’ once again, as Rangnick has now received a work permit.

The Eagles were held to a 1-1 draw by Newcastle in what was their first game under Graeme Jones, following Steve Bruce’s sacking in October.

Eddie Howe has since come in, but there was still a boost for the Magpies nonetheless with a new man at the helm to impress.

Then, Crystal Palace found themselves up against Steven Gerrard and a rejuvenated Aston Villa, in what was the 41-year-old’s first away game in charge.

Unsurprisingly, the Villans looked a different side, and recorded a 2-1 win.

Now, Patrick Vieira will be facing Rangnick in the German’s first game in the dugout, after taking over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Crystal Palace could still beat Manchester United

Despite the inevitable boost of Rangnick’s arrival for the Red Devils, Crystal Palace could still beat Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

As one supporter wrote below, the 63-year-old is famed for his intense gegenpressing style, something which doesn’t happen overnight.

It requires immense fitness levels, and a lot of work for Manchester United at Carrington.

In that respect, it may be too soon for Rangnick to put his stamp on the Red Devils, meaning Crystal Palace could be facing more of a Solskjaer side.

As we saw before the Norwegian’s exit, a Solskjaer side isn’t that hard to beat.

For now, let’s see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about the Telegraph‘s update…
