Speaking on the BBC Radio Five Live Football Daily Podcast, Stephen Kelly has been speaking about Tottenham’s attacking performance against Newcastle at the weekend.
Spurs managed to get the better of the Magpies on Sunday. They ran out 3-2 winners and they looked dangerous going forward.
Heung-Min Son and Harry Kane both got onto the scoresheet and Kelly was full of praise for the pair.

Kelly was impressed by Spurs’ quality in attack.
“Tottenham had so much quality going forward, the pace that they had and they passed the ball quickly. Moura was running through the lines, Son and Kane looked very good as well and I think that was a bit of a shock to the system with how good Tottenham were. Newcastle felt they were able to compete, but them Tottenham’s quality came through,” Kelly said.
Dangerous
There’s plenty to be said about Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham, but let’s not forget that they were considered as title contenders this time last year when Son and Kane were playing at their best together.
Kane has started this season incredibly slowly, but on Sunday he looked a lot more like his old self, and if he can re-ignite that electric partnership he had with Son last season, Spurs could once again be one of the country’s most-feared sides.
Kane and Son were excellent against Newcastle and if they can keep that up, Tottenham will continue to climb the table.
