The Gunners travel to France for their Champions League clash on Tuesday.
Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has told his teammates they must focus on themselves in the clash with Paris Saint-Germain while speaking to the Daily Mail.
The Gunners travel to the Parc des Princes on Tuesday for the first game of their Champions League campaign.
They head to France as something of underdogs, with many labelling Unai Emery’s team as favourites in the group given they reached the semi-finals of the competition last year.
Arsene Wenger’s side are more than capable of pulling off a result though and Mustafi has urged them to focus on their own strengths rather their opponents’.
“It’s an important competition, it’s not going to be an easy game in Paris,” he told the Daily Mail.
“The most important thing in the Champions League is to concentrate on yourself because all the teams in it are big teams with big players so the most important thing is to try and play our game and try to get the three points.”
Whether Arsenal can secure a positive result in the game will likely rest on their defensive options.
They head into it with a doubt over first choice centre-back Laurent Koscielny after he picked up an eye injury in the win over Southampton at the weekend.
Should he end up missing the clash it would be a major blow to their hopes of getting the result they want, and Wenger will be praying it does not prove to be the case.
