Man City will likely face off against Lionel Messi tomorrow when they travel to France to take on PSG.
As reported by RMC Sport journalist Loic Tanzi, the Argentine superstar is fit to feature in the UEFA Champions League this week. Messi missed PSG’s 2-0 win at home to Montpellier due to injury.
However, the former FC Barcelona icon is set to play tomorrow. Messi and PSG will be hoping to claim three points against Man City after drawing their Champions League opener to Club Brugge.
For Pep Guardiola’s side, though, they started their European campaign this season with an emphatic 6-3 win over RB Leipzig. City also head into their clash against PSG with a 1-0 win over Champions League holders Chelsea.
Indeed, it will be one of the ties of the Champions League group stage, with Man City and PSG two of the favourites to win the competition, and the inclusion of Messi will add fireworks to the fixture.
Although the South American attacker is yet to get off the mark for PSG, Messi will always remain a threat for any side given the obvious quality he possesses, yet Man City fans on social media are relishing the oppertunity.
After all, to be the best you first have to beat the best. And City supporters are confident of Guardiola’s side beating a Messi-led PSG side.
