Borussia Dortmund’s Shinji Kagawa is attracting interest from Premier League duo Everton and West Ham United.

Shinji Kagawa is being mooted for a possible return to the Premier League, with Everton and West Ham United the reported interested parties.

Ruhmachrichten.de have recently claimed that Everton and West Ham are interested in signing the Borussia Dortmund attacking midfielder this summer.

It is said that the future of the 30-year-old is uncertain at the German club, with Kagawa recently being out on loan at Turkish giants Beskitas for the second half of the recently concluded season.

If Kagawa had a choice then he should opt to join Everton over West Ham because he would provide them with the depth they need in their European-chasing squad.

Despite his struggles to break into the Dortmund team of late, Kagawa still possesses a lot of qualities in his legs and he has valuable experience to his name.

Marco Silva needs to add more quality to his starting XI this summer, and with it he also needs more depth in his squad as his team chase European football and success in the domestic cups.

A player of Kagawa’s qualities, who more than likely would not cost a lot considering his current situation at Dortmund, would be a smart purchase for Everton.

Whilst West Ham’s squad also needs refreshing ahead of the new season, Kagawa may feel that a move to Everton may just be a step up compared to the Hammers.

Added with that, the 2013 Premier League winner, is more than likely going to earn more game time at Goodison Park given the fact that Gylfi Sigurdsson is the only player providing the Toffees with attacking bite from the middle of the park.
