Michael Owen has claimed that Luis Diaz has been a ‘shining light’ for Liverpool this season, alongside goalkeeper, Alisson Becker.
The unfortunate thing for Jurgen Klopp now is that Diaz is set to be sidelined until the end of the year with an injury, which Owen claimed is ‘not ideal’ for the struggling Merseyside club.
On Sunday, Liverpool suffered a 3-2 defeat at current Premier League leaders Arsenal to derail their season even further.

If some felt their opening day draw against Fulham was a blip, well, it no longer is that because there are problems galore at Anfield.
From the defence looking like a shadow of itself to Mo Salah being subbed at the Emirates, this is now Klopp’s biggest test since being at the club.
But amongst all that gloom, Owen thinks Alisson, and the now-injured Diaz, can stand strong, as he was also pleased with what Darwin Nunez produced at the Emirates, as he told Premier League Productions.
“Diaz has been a shining light this season,” said Owen. “Him and Alisson have probably been the better players. It’s not looking ideal (on Diaz injury).
“I was quite impressed with Nunez. I thought he looked good and sharp. He got his goal, hopefully, that will get him on this run he is capable of.
“Cracks are appearing, but Jurgen Klopp is the man to repair them.”

MORE PROBLEMS AROUND THE CORNER?
Another big week awaits Liverpool and they are set to be without key figures from Diaz to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
In truth, the most comfortable the Merseyside giants have looked this season was their 9-0 win over Bournemouth and beating Rangers on home soil in the Champions League last week.
So, heading into that reverse fixture on Wednesday night at Ibrox, that’s some comfort they can take, but it’s one thing doing the business in front of your own fans then it is against a hostile crowd in Glasgow.
But that’s not going to be the club’s biggest worry because, come the weekend, it’s only a small matter of facing Manchester City and a certain Erling Haaland.
